EU 42 fits feet up to 27 cm, while 41 only goes to 26.3 cm. For a 26.5 cm foot 41 is too short, so choose 42. The inside of the shoe will be ~27.5–28 cm – the room you need to walk.
If your foot is wide or high-arched, look for a roomier toe box or a 'wide' fitting.
How to measure accurately
Heel to the wall, paper under the foot, weight on it. Keep the ruler square to the wall and measure to the longest toe – not always the big toe. Wear the socks you'll wear with the shoes.
