Why hair frizzes
Hair absorbs water vapour from the air and swells, so frizz follows the dew point, the amount of water in the air. Below a 4 °C dew point the air is dry and winter brings static. From 10 °C hair starts to puff up, from 15 °C blow-dried waves drop, and above 18 °C loose hair is almost impossible to control.
